What to expect

There's nothing you need to know or bring. Here's what a typical program looks like.

  • A warm welcome

Devotees will greet you at the door. Shoes are left at the entrance, as in any Indian temple.

  • Kirtan

Joyful call-and-response singing of the Hare Krishna mantra with drums and cymbals. Join in or simply listen.

  • Arati & darshan

An offering of lamp, incense and flowers to the deities, a beautiful moment of devotion.

  • Wisdom

A short, practical talk from the Bhagavad Gita or Srimad Bhagavatam, with time for questions.

  • Prasadam

A delicious vegetarian feast, first offered to Krishna, shared freely with everyone.

  • Dress & etiquette

Modest, comfortable clothing is ideal, as we sit on the floor. Children are always welcome.
